Terri Preston named NLHA President

Chicago, IL - Baker Tilly is proud to announce Terri Preston, Principal, has been named President of the National Leased Housing Association (NLHA) during its annual meeting in Washington, D.C. in June.

Preston has more than 23 years of experience in underwriting and financing real estate development, with an emphasis on compliance related to affordable housing and government-regulated housing. She testified before Congress on May 25, 2010, regarding the Obama Administration’s proposal to preserve and transform Public and Assisted Housing.

Preston is an active supporter of NLHA’s efforts to preserve the existing stock of federally assisted housing in a manner that is fair and balanced to owners, tenants, and the government regulators. Additionally, she is President of the NLHA Education Fund, which recently provided 25 scholarships to residents of federally subsidized housing who were able to demonstrate both a strong commitment to community service and their educational goals.
