Baker Tilly partner Brent Calhoon will join Alan Chvotkin, Executive Vice President and Counsel of the Professional Services Council, to address the regulatory landscape and industry trends, and provide practical tips for mitigating risk with accounting and compliance issues. Calhoon and Chvotkin will also provide recommendations to help the contracting community address compliance questions effectively. In a separate session, Calhoon will offer a practical view of a popular topic: how to survive a government audit. "In a rapidly changing environment such as this one, understanding the regulatory landscape and mitigating risk has never been more important. We’re grateful for PSC’s involvement in this session, and look forward to sharing insights on contracting related issues and strategies." Baker Tilly director Traci Rowland will also host a session where she will discuss the importance of sound controls around cost pool setup and maintenance; the importance of reconciling cost pools and service centers to the General Ledger on a routine basis; and tips on streamlining cost pool and service center processing during month-end and year-end close.
