Carlsbad City Council to consider outsourcing

 

The Carlsbad (California) City Council unanimously voted to explore outsourcing of city park maintenance activities after Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP, identified $1.7 to $3.8 million in projected savings annually, part of 48 opportunities with a range of $2.3 to $4.7 million in estimated potential savings within the department. In 2011, the City Council elected Baker Tilly to help implement the Best Value Services Program. Parks and Recreation was the first department on the list. Read more >
