David Kirschbaum joins national accounting and advisory firm to focus on extending business consulting services to Government Contractor and Construction clients.
Accounting and advisory firm Baker Tilly has expanded its Government Contractor Advisory Services (GCAS) practice group with the recent appointment of David Kirschbaum as a Principal.
With over 21 years of experience, Mr. Kirschbaum joins Baker Tilly after serving as Managing Director of his own firm, Kirschbaum Consulting. Previously, he worked as a Director at Navigant Consulting and as a Vice President of Tucker Alan, Inc. Mr. Kirschbaum has experience with a variety of construction projects and government contract programs, including power plants, aircraft production, weapons development, transportation systems, medical device procurement, telecommunications services, pharmaceutical production, and chemical weapons facility cleanup among many others.
At Baker Tilly, Mr. Kirschbaum will focus on the expansion of the firm’s GCAS service offerings, which enable contractors to maximize cost recovery and profits while focusing on compliance in order to keep pace with today’s rapidly changing regulatory environment. He will focus on claims analysis and development, dispute resolution and expert witness testimony when required.
Baker Tilly’s service offerings span all stages of the government contracting lifecycle and include: business information systems; claims, disputes, and investigations; commercial items and GSA schedule consulting; compliance, risk management, and government audit support; government contract cost accounting; and tax and audit services.

Mr. Kirschbaum received a Bachelor of Science from Washington State University and an MBA from Indiana University. He is also a Certified Management Accountant and belongs to the Institute of Management Consultants and the American Bar Association.
