Baker Tilly names new Office Managing Partner
Whitman to use international experience and understanding of the evolving market to lead the Detroit region

Southfield, MI — Accounting and advisory firm Baker Tilly is pleased to announce that Alan Whitman, partner and firm-wide leader of international services, has been named Office Managing Partner in Detroit.

Tim Christen, CEO of Baker Tilly, said Whitman’s deep relationships with the business community and experience serving the middle-market are the qualifications needed to move the office forward and aggressively pursue opportunities in Michigan.

Since joining the firm in 2003, Whitman has served in a number of leadership roles including Detroit market leader and firm-wide leader of international services. His vast experience serving both manufacturing companies and those with international needs makes him uniquely qualified to lead the office as it works to serve the evolving market in Michigan.

Whitman is also deeply invested in giving back to the community through his involvement with many local organizations including the Michigan Israel Business Bridge, Detroit Historical Society, and the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit.
